The One Jordan Strategy: How Changing Your Circle Changes Your Future

Overview

A Mission to Reach One Person Who Needs Change

Every event, every meeting, and every stage I step onto has a single objective: reach at least one person who is ready to stop letting their past define their future.

If that person is you, then today is the day everything begins to shift.

Your story—your real story—is not something to hide, escape, or resent.
Your story is the key to your next level. It is the foundation for everything you are capable of becoming.

Giving, Not Taking: The Power of Showing Up with Value

Before speaking to the room, I spent the morning signing copies of my book for every attendee—about fifty in total. I do this for a simple reason:

When you show up with value, you start relationships differently.
You lead with generosity instead of expectation.

Too many people walk into a room wondering what they can get.
High performers walk into a room focused on what they can give.

The Real Story Behind the One Jordan Strategy

Years ago, I hit a point where I needed to upgrade my circle. Not because of arrogance—but because I knew I needed to grow. I needed to be around people playing the game at a higher level. But breaking into those rooms was not easy.

So I developed something that became a core chapter in my book and the focus of many of my keynotes: The One Jordan Strategy.

Here is how it works:

  1. Make a list of people you want to connect with—people who inspire you or represent the next level you’re aiming for.

  2. Find out their shoe size. Yes… their shoe size.

  3. Send them one Jordan shoe with a handwritten note that says:
“If you want the other shoe, give me a call.”

I did this eight or nine times.
Suddenly, people I once believed were unreachable were calling me, texting me, and having real conversations.

The shoe was never the point.
The boldness was.
The creativity was.
The intentionality was.

When you want to change your life, sometimes you need to take a step that others see as “crazy”—but you see as necessary.

Empowering Others to Find Their Next Level

At the event, after sharing the strategy, I handed out signed books and opened the conversation for people who wanted to brainstorm, ask questions, or dig deeper.

The message was clear:

Find your lane. Find what you’re good at. Start now—because the sooner you do, the faster everything changes.

Success favors the self-aware.
It favors those who take action faster rather than later.

Fueling Growth with the Right Environments

Soon after, I landed in St. Louis for a summit hosted by Ben Newman. These gatherings with leaders such as Ben Newman, Dan Martell, Sal Frisella, and Andy Frisella always serve the same purpose:

Realignment. Recalibration. Recommitment to excellence.

Once a quarter, I make it a point to get myself around people with big vision and bigger discipline. You cannot grow in isolation. You cannot evolve while staying in the same rooms with the same conversations.

The right environment does not just inspire you—it sharpens you.

Reconnecting with the People Who Changed My Journey

One of the most powerful moments at the event was reconnecting with Dan Martell. Many people do not know this, but Dan is central to the One Jordan story.

He was the first person who sent the Jordan back to me—and still agreed to take the call.

That moment became a full chapter in my book.

Handing him a signed copy, showing him that chapter, and telling him how his response shaped my journey… it reminded me how important small interactions can be. The tiniest decisions often have the biggest impact.

What These Events Really Teach Us

Every summit teaches something new—but the real lesson is consistent:

Stop chasing the wrong relationships. Start investing in the right ones.

The right people:

  • Challenge you

  • Guide you

  • Believe in you

  • See potential you cannot yet see

  • Push you to stop making excuses

  • Encourage you to go all in

Success is not found in isolation—it is found in aligned connection.

A Day Full of Power, Inspiration, and Real Connection

Whether it was hearing Andy Frisella drop thirty F-bombs in the most motivational way possible, listening to Ben Newman talk about the decisions that define champions, or hearing Dan Martell break down time leverage—every speaker carried the same theme:

Stop holding yourself back.
Stop waiting.
Stop hesitating.
Step into the life you are meant to live.

You cannot keep doing the same things and expect a different result. You cannot keep surrounding yourself with the same energy and expect transformation.

Growth requires intentionality.
Connection requires courage.
Success requires boldness.

You Never Know What One Decision Will Unlock

From gifting a single Jordan shoe…
to writing a bestselling book…
to standing on stages around the country…
to speaking with leaders I once admired from afar…

Every moment was triggered by one decision:

I refused to stay where I was.

And if you are reading this, maybe it is time for your “one decision” moment too.

The moment you stop letting the past dictate your path.
The moment you walk boldly into the future you know you are capable of.
The moment you change your circle, change your environment, and change your trajectory.

Your Story Matters—And Your Next Chapter Is Waiting

You do not grow by accident.
You grow by intention.

Your past is not your prison.
Your past is your teacher.

Your story is not a weight—it is a weapon.
And it is time to use it.

If you are ready to rise to the next level…
If you are ready to surround yourself with the right people…
If you are ready to stop waiting for permission…

Then this is your moment.

Choose change.
Choose growth.
Choose the next version of yourself.

Because the life you are destined to live is waiting—and it is bigger than you can imagine.

Make it a great day.
